It is important to wash the bottom of your trailer as well and take care of the small details such as the license plate. Wash it once a week if not in use and immediately after every use so as to avoid build up of dirt.

Do this on every rusted spot in your trailer. Check frequently for rust. Keep your trailer away from long exposure to water so as to avoid a lot of rusting.
- It is inevitable for the mechanical parts of your trailer to start squeaking after a while. Keep this is in check by regular greasing. Use a good lubricant and oil on the moving parts of your trailer on a regular basis. Before you take your trailer on the road, make sure it is well lubricated so as to avoid mechanical breakdowns.
- Do not forget your wheels. Keep them well inflated. It is important to regularly check your tires for any signs of wear and tear and replace them if need be. If you want to travel and it has been a while before you used the trailer, do not forget to check the pressure of your tires. Always bear in mind that it is dangerous to drive with deflated tires.
