Getting a break from the office can seem a small thing to people whose work is really not demanding and or is something they enjoy. However, those who are stuck with a time frame of the working hours, it really does not exist. Sometimes, they get called in to work at three in the morning. Thus, when the office landlord passes on the information that an inspection has called for the need to carry out a restoration due to the need for asbestos removal, you run out of the office like the devil is on your heels; you are breaking world records!
It is on such days that you actually realize that you are tired and required to take a break even though it is just one day to run on low gear. Anyone can burn out due to the effects of the day to day activities and in this case, you may need to try the following to ensure that you do not crush:
- Healthy eating
Few people understand just how far a good glass of fresh juice at breakfast or a plate of fruits over a lunch meal could take you. Vegetables also increase the amount of fiber that you are taking which is healthy for you and your digestion. This also means that you have vitamins and the necessary proteins that are required for the body to function even though you are on your feet most part on the day.
- Water
The Bible mentions that there is no life without water. Somehow, it is one thing scientists do not deny. You should therefore rehydrate your body constantly especially during dry and dusty months of the year to ensure that your body can keep up with you and that it functions as required without lowering your immunity.
- Sleep
Getting a good night’s sleep comes in handy. Even though you are not sleeping for eight hours every day of the year, taking a day every week where you rest your body will be quite alright. It gives the mind time to slow down and stop all the winding to look for solutions.
Breaks do not mean that you must necessarily do nothing, you could spend that day off running for a while, swimming or engaging yourself in a relaxing activity that does not put the same pressure that work does on you. Slow down and smell the sunshine once in a while.
